Aaah, there’s nothing like air which has been cleaned, cleared and oxygenated by rain!
I dashed to open all the windows to get a proper through-draft going – and got more than I bargained for.. I was exposed as a person who sometimes “forgets” to vacuum under the couch!!
On the other hand, since the wind blew out all those dust bunnies from under the couch, I guess I won’t have to vacuum under there next week, either..? How convenient! 😜
PS. That lovely drawing is by Italian illustrator Eva Montanari.
Here on the outskirts of Brussels, Belgium, the day started with unbridled optimism and joy in the form of bright, glorious sunshine. Not a cloud in the sky!
Later, as I went shopping with a friend, we ended up pushing our way through bitingly cold wind and the kind of fat raindrops that seem to spread out over your whole head upon impact. (Did I mention that neither one of us had an umbrella or even a hat?)
Now the sun has air dominance again. That cloud monster (do you see it?) threw in a nasty hail shower, but was eventually forced into retreat.
The thing with hail is that it runs out of ammo very quickly.
And the thing with hope is that it doesn’t. (Unless you let a few menacing clouds frighten you. Or worry too much about rain hair.)
